'Dream Factory have so far granted nearly 300 dreams'

The Dream Factory was founded by Avril Mills, a former fundraiser and events manager at a children’s hospice. Avril unfortunately lost her nine-year-old son Oliver to leukaemia at which point The Dream Factory was itself only a dream.
While Oliver, a big EastEnders fan, was having treatment in hospital Avril arranged for him to meet Ross Kemp, Martine McCutcheon and Sid Owen. Liking the idea, she went on to make a wish for another child who had always wanted to meet the Arsenal team.
Before he passed away Oliver expressed the wish to grant dreams for children when he grew up. Any dream is possible, and so when charity says it will take on the challenge of making a wish come true, then they will do everything in their power to make it happen in the shortest possible time.  Avril knew what she wanted to do and was prepared to work hard to make it happen.
We have chosen The Dream Factory as the charity partner due to the amazing job they do brightening the lives of children and young adults.  The Dream Factory encourages hope for children and young adults who have either life limiting, life threatening conditions, or who suffer from severe disabilities. They do this by making their wishes come true.
Down Your High Street are proud to be able to support The Dream Factory along with its various celebrities, MP’s and sportsmen patrons who give much of their time raising the charities profile.  Avril has just two part-time staff and is helped by over 20 volunteers who work tirelessly to make dreams happen.  Down Your High Street hope to assist this incredible charity with its future endeavours.
